We had a few hours free to explore a bit more so we walked to a few of the popular viewpoints. One, was at the base of the Alcazar where we had great views of the castle which sits high up on the hill. We also walked up a long staircase to get to the top of the Aqueduct. Segovia is a very hilly city so we walked up and down a lot of hills and steps.

We stayed at an interesting hotel called the Aurea Convento Capuchinios which dates back to 1637. It was originally a Capuchin Monastery that housed 120 monks. In the 19th century it became a Military Barracks and Artillery College. It later became a convent and in 1996 was turned into a luxury hotel.
