Bordeaux, France

We arrived in the late afternoon so we just decided to take a walk and explore a bit of Bordeaux. Our first stop was the Basilique-Saint Seurin Church which dates back to the 11th century. While on our way we noticed round disks all along the way. It just so happens that they are the markers for the route of the Camino de Santiago (specifically the Voie de Tours or Tours Route), which leads pilgrims all the way to the tomb of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The route is marked very well, especially compared to those in San Sebastian, Spain.

We also visited the remains of the Palais Gallien, which is an ancient amphitheater. We  took a walk through a  lovely park. It is the perfect time of year to visit as the flowers are in full bloom.
