These are a few of the photos we took as we spent the morning exploring Bilbao. It is very hot today, so we did not spend as much time outside as we had planned.

The popular food in Bilbao are Pintxos (Basque tapas)  which are small, bite-sized appetizers artfully displayed on bar counters, often resting on a slice of bread and held together with a toothpick. We have not tried any of them, but they are very popular with the locals.
