Bratislava, Slovakia (Day 1)

We started the afternoon with a walk through the historical center. It is a busy, yet peaceful city. There are many small shops, cafes, and lots of ice cream shops. We saw Old Town Hall, Primate’s Palace, the Opera House and St. Martin’s Cathedral. We strolled along the Danube Riverfront and saw the Most SNP (Bridge of the Slovak National Uprising) which holds the record as the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge to have only one pylon and a single set of cables. At the top is a structure known as the “UFO”. There is an observation deck and a restaurant that can be reached by an elevator.
