We decided to start our day with a walk to Liberty Square to check out the Ronald Reagan statue and then on to the Parliament Building which is located next to the Danube River. As we were looking across the Danube River we decided it might be best to take a hop-on hop-off bus tour as this is a big city and the beautiful buildings across the river seemed quite far away. We started our tour on the Pest side and managed to see Heroe’s Square, the Opera House, The Dohaney Street Synagogue and City Park with a number of beautiful buildings including an old castle.
