Canal and city tour, Amsterdam, Netherlands

I like Amsterdam! It has good vibes and an excellent transportation system. There are a lot of bicycles though. I have read that there are around 800,000 people and 880,000 bicycles. They even have underground parking lots just for bicycles. They ride them year round and outnumber cars by 4 times.

We took a canal tour and then strolled around the city. The streets and canals are lined with beautiful buildings. We noticed that many of the houses are leaning, often with wedges placed between them to hold them up. Apparently the homes were built on wooden poles and over time the wood rots and the buildings start to lean.
