Devonport Village, NZ

This is our last day in Auckland so we decided to take the ferry to Devonport Village and explore North Head. It was once home to a heavily armed fort which was built to defend Auckland. You can still see the remains of the fortified tunnels, store rooms and barricks. The views at the top are nice with beautiful ocean views and a view of Rangitoto Island. We watched a couple para sailing over the ocean which was pretty cool. The weather was nice so it made for a great afternoon walk.
