Devonport Village, NZ

We took the short ferry ride to Devonport seaside village which is one of the oldest suburbs of Auckland. It is a quaint little town with beautiful beaches, several boutiques, cafes, and one of Auckland’s oldest movie theaters. It is also home to the Devonport Naval Base.

We hiked to the top of Mount Victoria which is the tallest volcano on the North Shore. It was once a military position so there are concrete bunkers and a disappearing gun is located at the top of the hill.
