Dubrovnik Old Town, Dubrovnik, Croatia

Jutting out into the Adriatic Sea with a backdrop of rugged limestone mountains, Dubrovnik Old Town is known as one of the world’s finest and most perfectly preserved medieval cities in the world. It was built between the 11th and 17th centuries.

Today we visited many beautiful buildings, including churches, a monastery, a few museums and wandered around the old town. It is very busy as the cruise ships arrive daily. There are also many steps to go up and down as you wonder through the cobblestone streets and alley ways. In fact, there are 72 steps just to get to our hotel room.
