Wow! I think Edinburgh is one of the prettiest cities that we have been to. It is a very walkable city so we were able to see so much in a short time. The Edinburgh Castle which sits at the top of the hill and can be seen from so many different parts of the city is amazing. We started our tour in Old Town, walked along the Royal Mile which is home to many shops and pubs and was very busy. We visited the Greyfriars Kirkyard which is the graveyard surrounding Greyfriars Kirk. The graveyard is said to be the most haunted cemetery in the world. We walked to the top of Carlton Hill which is an extinct volcano, with great views of the city. We could also see Arthur’s Seat and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Our last stop was at the Scott Monument which was dedicated to Sir Walter Scott.
