Launceston, Tasmania

These are pictures taken around Launceston. January 26th is Australia Day which marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of eleven convict ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove. They had a celebration which included fireworks that we could see from our back porch. We walk to City Park which is a nice little park with lots of pretty flowers and monkeys.
