Our first stop in Milan was to visit the Duomo Cathedral where we took a tour of the rooftop terraces and then visited the inside of the massive cathedral. It is the largest church in Italy. They began construction in 1386 and it was finally completed in 1965. They say there are more statues on this gothic-style cathedral than any other building in the world. There are 3,400 statues, 135 gargoyles and 700 figures that decorate Milan Duomo! The rooftop terraces provided great views of the surrounding area.

We also explored some of the other recommended neighborhoods and saw more lovely buildings.. Even the central train station is quite a site to see. We also saw the statue of Leonardo Da Vinci.
