Mt. Shasta, CA

We drove to the top of Mount Shasta and enjoyed views of the surrounding area. Mt Shasta rises abruptly from the surrounding plains and valleys (with a base elevation around 3,500 to 4,000 feet), it boasts a vertical rise of nearly 10,000 feet, making it visible from up to 100 miles away on clear days. It is 14,179 ft. high and is quite a sight to see! We also took a hike on the Gray Butte trail.
