Osaka Castle is one of Japan’s most famous landmarks and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century. The inside of the castle is a museum that covers the history of the castle and the period during which it was built. After climbing the 8 stories of stairs, there is an observation deck at the top with great views of the grounds and of the city.
