The Palace of Culture and Science is highly controversial. It is often viewed as a reminder of Soviet influence over the Polish People’s Republic, especially due to its construction during mass violations of human rights at the behest of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The palace was a gift from Stalin and most Poles strongly dislike it. So much so that they refer to it as Stalin’s Penis.

We took the elevator to the top and had great views of Warsaw. It is a big city with a population of 1.8 million people.
