Welcome to Rome! This was our first official day to begin touring the city. Our vacation planner, Bev rented an apartment that is a bit off the beaten path, so we bought a 7 day bus pass and we will be riding the bus. We went to the Pantheon which is a former Roman temple and is now a church. It was built about 126 AD. It is one of the best preserved of all ancient Roman buildings because it has been in continuous use throughout its history. The building looks pretty old on the outside but is very lovely on the inside.
