Port Arthur, Tasmania

Port Arthur is the site of a convict colony that was opened in the 1800’s. The British sent their prisoners to this location. Over the years many of the buildings have been damaged by fire so many are just ruins and some of the buildings have been restored. The grounds are pretty and the history of the site is interesting.
