We arrived in San Sebastian in the early afternoon and spent some time exploring the Old Town. We enjoyed our walk along the beach. The town is surrounded by two mountains, Monte Urgull and Monte Igueldo. We plan to find the famous hiking trail called Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James). It is 500 miles long and ends at the magnificent Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, which is the final destination for all the different branches of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. According to tradition, this is the burial site of St. James the Apostle.
