Utrecht, Netherlands

Utrecht is a city of old and new. There are many old beautiful buildings and many new modern skyscrapers. The city is lined with canals and we noticed that they really use their canals for recreation such as small canoes, water bikes and paddle boards. In many of the other cities that we have visited the canals were used for tours, house boats and larger boats.

We strolled through old town and saw St. Martin’s Cathedral which dates back to the 1600’s. We also had dinner in an old church which has been converted into a restaurant.
