This is the biggest museum I have ever seen. The Vatican Museums contains the world’s largest private art collection and it’s halls and corridors cover about 4.5 miles. There is beautiful artwork from floor to ceiling and lovely painted domes. I really liked the paintings by Rafael and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel is lovely.
I also learned that Vatican City is the smallest state in the world. It’s a real state with its own postal system and mint, it’s own rules and Latin is the official language.
