So far, Ghent has been my favorite place to visit. It was a lovely, old city with so much to see. We happened to pick a time when they were having a music festival that lasts for ten days. Music played until the wee hours of the night. There were bandstands set up throughout the town.  And I might add, it was all sung in English so no problem with understanding the words.  We stayed in a hotel that used to be an old post office. Quite nice and a great location!

We toured the Gravensteen Castle which dates back to the 1200’s.
